Once a covered entity is enrolled in the 340B Drug Pricing Program, it is the covered entity's responsibility to inform wholesalers and manufacturers of the enrollment so they will be able to purchase drugs at the 340B discounted price. Covered entities may voluntarily participate in the 340B Prime Vendor Program to obtain prices lower than 340B statutory prices on pharmaceuticals and access cost-saving contracts for items such as diabetic supplies, vaccines, diagnostic test kits, and more.
