Manager, 340B Education and Compliance Support

Gavin Magaha, PharmD, MS is Manager of 340B Education and Compliance Support for Apexus, where he helps stakeholders understand and navigate the complexities of the 340B world. He frequently presents at regional and national meetings and serves on the faculty for Apexus 340B University events.
Before coming to Apexus, Dr. Magaha worked for Wake Forest Baptist Health, where he developed and maintained corporate systems associated with various regulatory agency mandates, including 340B, controlled substances, and vendor contracting.
Dr. Magaha received his PharmD degree from Wingate University and his master’s degree in health system pharmacy administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while completing his residency at Wake Forest. He became a 340B Apexus Certified Expert in 2017.

Michael T. Lin, PharmD
Director of Pharmacy Services
Family Health Centers

Michael T. Lin, PharmD, is Director of Pharmacy Services at Family Health Centers in Louisville, Kentucky. He oversees the management and integrity of the 340B program at the main pharmacy for an eight-site federally qualified health center that services nearly 50,000 patients in the Louisville area. He has been with Family Health Centers since 2010 and has served as Pharmacy Director since 2013.
Dr. Lin has worked in the 340B space since 2010. During his 29-year career in pharmacy, he has opened two and managed three pharmacies for Family Health Centers, as well as four pharmacies in New York City.
Dr. Lin earned his bachelor of pharmacy degree at Saint John’s University and his PharmD at the University of Florida.


Tess Morgan, MBA
Senior Manager Product Diversion and Program Integrity

Tess Morgan, MBA, serves Pfizer’s Fraud Investigation Group as the Senior Manager, Product Diversion and Program Integrity, highly focused on the federal 340B Drug Discount Program. She has more than 10 years’ experience working with key program stakeholders and has a vast knowledge of the program rules and regulations, participating entities, and the vendors that provide support services.
Before joining Pfizer, Ms. Morgan held consulting engagements with covered entities, both hospital and non-hospital; third-party administrators; contract pharmacy providers; wholesalers; and manufacturers. Her driving force is to maintain program integrity through effective collaboration between stakeholders.
Ms. Morgan holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from The University of Tennessee and an MBA from Philadelphia University.


Kenny Yu, PharmD, MBA, 340B ACE
Director of Pharmacy, 340B Program
NYU Langone Health

Kenny Yu, PharmD, MBA, 340B ACE, is Director of Pharmacy, 340B Program at NYU Langone Hospitals in New York. NYU has been part of the 340B Program since 2016, and Dr. Yu has been the director of the program since June 2016. In his current role, he oversees both compliance and optimization of the 340B Program at his organization, along with being a 340B resource for advocacy. In addition, he aids with pharmacy-related contracts, pharmacy projects/initiatives, and pharmacy-driven analyses. Along with his 340B team, and with the hospital administration’s support, Dr. Yu has built the program from the ground. He has helped integrate multiple departments to raise awareness and education on the significance of the 340B Program within the organization and externally. He is responsible for leading the robust monitoring/compliance plan that was implemented at NYU Langone Hospitals.
Prior to assuming his current role, Dr. Yu served as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Ambulatory Services, where he had a dual role of managing an infusion center pharmacy and overseeing all medication management for NYU Langone Hospitals in the ambulatory care setting to promote safety and standardization. Before he stepped into pharmacy leadership, he was an oncology pharmacist at the Cancer Center pharmacies at NYU Langone Hospitals.
Dr. Yu received his doctorate in pharmacy from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He also received his MBA with a concentration in health care from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He is a 340B Apexus Certified Expert and serves on the Apexus Education Council.
